Retro abstract living room

For the clients’ condo living room, the couch had to have maximum comfort and a dark material that wouldn’t get stained easily. We chose this L-sectional in a medium-grey for a place to lounge and enough seating for the couple and guests. We added a pop of color in an orange chenille swivel chair, where guests could easily pivot and interact with those in the living room and kitchen area.We were inspired by the colors in the watercolor painting they brought from their old house to the condo, and found an abstract rug in
the same rust orange, grey-blue (from the desk chair and dining chairs) and beige (from the TV console). Our favorite piece is the elegant TV unit in a matte beige metal finish called mushroom, and frosted bronze mirrors for the top and drawer fronts. Another piece worth noting is the tripod floor lamp with a black retro-industrial shade and a metallic gold inner lining, similar to a remnant of an old studio or theater lighting. The fun thing about this lamp is that it’s adjustable in height and can also tilt up and down 360 degrees.
