Pointe-Claire, Qc
chic master bedroom

Challenges

This room did not have enough storage space for the couple and was not functional enough with their second baby on the way. There was quite a bit of unused space in the room, so we created a walk-in closet for him and her in the master bedroom by moving the entrance door. We incorporated a sliding pocket door with frosted glass panels to save space, to hide their clothes when they didn’t want to see them, while allowing natural light to pass through.
A sitting area with a rocking chair and ottoman allowed mom and baby to relax. A TV mounted on the wall and allows space underneath for a desk without wasting workspace. We created an accent wall for the bed using metallic gold print wallpaper that changes color depending on the angle of the light from the louvered window. For the closet, we incorporated shelves, drawer units, shoe racks, and hanging clothes for him and her.
