Mandate

This was a guest room in a condo for their daughter, and the goal was to create a glam-girly feel for when she was in town. The color palette inspiration was based on the abstract watercolor accent pillow which had blues, pinks, purples and gold. We mixed different textures and colors to create dimension; like crushed pink velvet with regular aubergine velvet,

the veins in the honed marble night tables with the flowy pattern in the bed’s comforter, shiny rose gold with brushed gold. The shelves below in the side table served as a place for decorative storage boxes, books, and for storing her laptop without taking space on top. The ottoman was a place for her to place her purse or bag since there wasn’t any space for a dresser in the room.
