Mid Century Mod Living and Dining Room
This living room was cramped and didn’t have enough storage for their 2 young kids’ toys. We designed floating cabinet storage around the TV in 2 tones; white and wood grain, for plenty of storage. Frosted glass doors provided hidden storage for crayons, coloring books and electronics, while the clear glass doors served as a less heavy place where we placed some decoration and family photos. They wanted a couch that was easy to clean, so we went with a sleek leather couch which was less bulky,
but wider than their previous sofa. Lighting was also an issue in the previous living room, so we added 2 gold wall sconces with clear globe LED bulbs for maximum light, as well as a floor lamp in matte black and a beige round shade. We added texture and subtle pattern in the room with the knit wool rug, and added a lounge seating area with an accent chair and ottoman where they could sit back and relax after work.
