Tween Swanky Bedroom

Mandate

This bedroom belongs to two sisters sharing the space, and they needed to transition from their kid bedroom to a more sophisticated teen bedroom. We chose to paint the accent wall a deep royal purple, and added white mouldings on the wall to frame the 2 beds and the vanity. In the center moulding frame, we added a paintable wallpaper and painted it the same color as the wall to incorporate more texture. The mirrored vanity also doubles as another desk,

where both of them could do their homework simultaneously. We painted the old faded cork memo board gold, and the frame white, and re-purposed it for the desk area where they could hang notes and other fun things. We created a gallery wall which featured a big gold “B”, since both of their names started with this letter. The side table with drawers was also re-purposed to go under the desk as storage for notebooks and office supplies.
